K311 A Logic

The K311 A is the main module of the K311 modules.

In the upper area (Inputs) are the four inputs A - D with the corresponding LEDs. The input signals are testet to the states LOW or HIGH. Signals in the range 0 volts - +2 volts (and negative voltages) are LOW. Signals above +4 volts are HIGH. The range between +2 volts and +4 volts is not precisely defined. The input signals may not exceed the range from -15 volts to +15 volts.

In the middle area (Analysis) are the outputs and LEDs, that are assigned to the various logical operations. If a condition is TRUE the output changes to HIGH (+5 volts), otherwise it stays LOW (0 volts).

A OR  B  One of the inputs A or B has to be HIGH.
A XOR B  One and only one of the inputs A or B has to be HIGH.
A AND B  Both inputs A and B have to be HIGH.

C OR  D  One of the inputs C or D has to be HIGH.
C XOR D  One and only one of the inputs C or D has to be HIGH.
C AND D  Both inputs C and D have to be HIGH.

In the lower area is a logic inverter, which converts the input signal from LOW to HIGH or from HIGH to LOW. So the functioning is different to an analog inverter.
